“Malaya, bruh, come on. We gotta be there in a few and you’re taking forever!” I yelled at Malaya from the bottom of the stairs.
“Girl, look, calm those big ass titties of yours. I’m almost finished, better act like you know perfection takes time.” she said.
“Girl, shut that shit up and hurry that ass.” I said
“I don’t know why you’re rushing me considering the fact that you don’t even like the people that’s going to be there.” her smart ass said.
“I don’t like them, but considering what happened today, I need to put them hoes in their place.” I told her.
Long story short, after Kae and I exchanged a few words at Malaya’s office, Kae sent Malaya a text telling her that they were throwing a party tonight and it would be nice if Malaya showed up to meet the crew. Personally, I could give two shits about her and her party. But since Seiko was around, she thought she was big and bad. Tuah, I don’t think so. I don’t plan on beating her ass, but she needs to learn her place; nothing more, nothing less.
“Tey, I’m not trynna bust my future clients ass now.” she said walking towards the stairs.
“And I don’t want you to, I can handle it myself.” I said.
“Whatever Teyana, bruh. I’m not trynna have this conversation with you right now. You know damn well as soon as I see you swing at somebody, or see somebody swinging at you, I’m jumping in. You know this for a fact.” She said walking down the stairs, walking past me and heading to the kitchen. “I’m bout to grab something to eat and then I’ll start putting my shoes and stuff on.” she said while looking in the ‘fridge for some food.
She walked over to the counter where I was currently standing and took a seat on one of the bar stools. “Other than being a stylists, what do they do for a living. I was checking them out and they were wearing some expensive shit to say that they were stylists. Like everything that the blonde hair one had on cost a few stacks.”
“They’re groupies.” I said nonchalant.
“Dead ass?”
“Dead ass! Everybody knows her cooch is loose. She jumps from nigga to nigga.” I said. “Speaking of jumping from nigga to nigga, who you was with the other night?” I questioned.
“What are you talking about?” she said damn near chocking off of her orange soda.
“Don’t play stupid with me. Your skin is glowing, ass is lose, you’re perky as shit. I mean all the sings are there.”
She started laughing. “Well there is a guy. He’s just there when my pipes need cleaning.”
“Girl your pipe cleaning is waaaaaay over-due. Lord knows I got tired of you stealing my batteries for your ‘remote’. You know damn well your remote doesn’t need new batteries every two days.”
“LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!” she said with tears coming out of her eyes from laughing so hard.
“Have you talked to ‘Em or Jas?” I asked changing the subject.
“Yeah. Emily is coming in tonight from Cali. She’ll be here by 1 A.M. and she’s bringing a ‘friend’ with her to the party. I haven’t talked to Jas though.” She said.
I’m not surprised that she talked to Emily. Her and Emily were the closest of friends. I met Malaya at 16 and she was living in an apartment with Emily. They were friends since the first grade. Sometimes I feel left out when I’m with them because their friendship is so tight. But then again, Jas and I have been friends since middle school. So I guess it’s understandable.
I was so deep into thought, I didn’t even realize that Malaya put her shoes on and was waiting at the door. I grabbed my shoes and keys by the door and we headed out to the party.
Malaya
“You sure to know where we’re going?” Tey asked while looking over at me from the passanger seat.
‘Yeah, she told me it was the brick house next right next to Jim’s on 32nd street.” I said.
We pulled up to the brown building next to Jim’s and it looked like run down crack house. I’m not sure if she gave me the wrong address because her and Tey exchanged a few words, or if we were at the wrong house.
“So if you know where we’re going, then why are we in front of a damn crack house then?” Tey questioned.
“Taylor, shut up. You see I’m trying to figure out where we’re at. Just … sit still and hush.” I said getting slightly annoyed with her.
She opened her mouth to say something but then she realized I called her by her last name and knew I meant business.
I decided to call Karrueche and see where the hell I was at.
“Hello?” she yelled over music in the background.
“Uh, yeah, I’m lost.” I told her.
“Where are you at?” she asked.
“I’m on 32nd st. next to Jim’s in front of a crack house.”
“A crack house? Why are you at a crack house?” she halfway laughed.
“You said the brown house next to Jim’s and that’s where I’m at.”
“Is it brown?” she asked.
“Yeah.”
Once again, she laughed.
“Are you in the whites ‘Cedes?”
“Yeah.”
“I see you outside.”
“You can see me? Where exactly are you at?” I asked looking around
“I’m in the brown house.” she said.
“So you’re telling me that you’re in a damn crack house? Child, boo.” I said in the smartest way possible.
“It’s not a crack house. Just get out the car and come inside.”
And with that, I hung up the phone.
“What’d she say?” Tey asked.
“She said they’re inside the house.”
“Inside the house? Bull-fucking-shit.” Tey said.
“Ima go check it out.” I said opening my door and walking toward the house.
The scenery seemed like something you saw on movies. It was dark outside, no one was outside, the wind was blowing, cats were walking into dark alleys, the orange colored street lights were flickering on and off. It was creepy. Yet, I still remained walking toward the porch. I turned around and motioned my hand for Tey to follow. I closed my eyes and prepared myself for the party. I was slightly nervous considering that I didn’t know anyone but Karrueche and Seiko. And those were the two people Tey couldn’t stand, go figure.
Tey and I held hands and slowly walked up the stairs together. I twisted the knob like Karrueche said, and surprisingly, the door was half way opened. I slightly pushed the door opened to find nothing but darkness. I didn’t hear any music, nor did I see any people. All I saw was darkness.
I have a strong feeling that, that bitch set us up.
Kae
Today was the day Seiko and I had an appointment with one of the top, youngest stylist in new York. Her name was Malaya Michelle. Chris was invited to a charity event and he wanted a new fresh look. At first I got offended, considering the fact that I’m his stylist, but then I understood he just wanted to try something new. I mean couldn’t blame him, Malaya had styled everyone from Amber Rose to Teyana Taylor to Kanye West.
My appointment is for 11:30 A.M. and it’s 11:28 A.M. and Pat, Chris’ body guard, is driving extremely slow.
“Pat, Ima need your heavyfooted ass to step on the gas!” I exclaimed.
“I understand you have an appointment, but you, Karrueche, need to understand that we’re stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic.”
“How far away are we?” I asked ignoring Pat’s attitude.
“Bout a minute away. We’ll be there soon.” he said.
“I hope so cause a bitch is hot as fuck back here.” Seiko bursted out.
I laughed and ignored her. Beyond being ratchet, Seiko is just a hot ass mess.
“Okay, we’re here.” Pat said. “Stay in the car and wait for me to escort you inside.”
I never understood why Seiko and I needed bodyguards. We may be short but we damn sure know how to handle our own.
As soon as we stepped out of the Cadillac, I grabbed Seiko’s hand, and the paparazzi were on our asses.
“Karrueche, look over here! How do you feel about Chris cheating on you? Seiko, what do you do for a living? Karrueche!”
“Back up! Step back! Back up! Step back!” Pat said pushing the papz back. I couldn’t stand them. Beyond them being disrespectful, they’re were annoying. They were always camping out, hiding in bushes, and doing and saying stuff they had no goddamn business.
“Hi. What can I help you with today?” The female receptionist asked while putting whomever she was on the phone with on hold. She looked like she was 22, blonde hair, blue eyes, pearly white teeth, and light pink lipstick. Her name tag stated that her name is Samantha.
“Hi, I have an 11:30 appointment with Malaya Michelle.”
“Seventh floor, room 6A.” she stated.
“Call me when you’re finished. I’m bout to head to the Rib Shack.” Pat stated.
“Yo big ass better head to Subway instead of Rib Shack!” Seiko yelled at Pat.
He flipped her off and we headed to the elevator.
“Yo, is she in there? She’s not opening the door.” Seiko said. We knocked three times but Malaya didn’t answer.
“Let me try.” I said. I twisted the nob and I walked in to see her with her head on the desk not moving.
“The fuck?” Seiko said while walking over to her.
“Is she sleep? What the hell is she doing?” I asked.
“YO, MALAYA?” Seiko yelled in her ear.
She jumped up out of her seat with her fist balled up like she was bout ready to bop Seiko. She confusingly looked around her room a few times. She fixed her skirt and and sat back down. I don’t know what was going on bout I was bout ready to get the hell out of there.
“Hi, Um, I’m Malaya.” She said while reaching her hand out to shake our hands. I reluctantly shook her hand. Seiko rude ass didn’t even bother shaking it.
She shook her and head and laughed it off. “Sorry about what just happened. Today was a slow day and I didn’t get much sleep last night. ” she said.
“It’s okay, I understand.” I said trying to ease the tension and lighten the mood.
Malaya was gorgeous on pictures, but looked better in person. She has an exotic look to her. She had bone straight black hair, rich chocolate skin, a body to die for, and hot pink lipstick on. She was absolutely stunning!
“I’m Karrueche and this is Seiko. I’m here to see if you’d be honored to style my client?” I asked.
“If you don’t mind me asking, who’s your client?” She asked.
“Chris brown.” I said with a huge koolaid smile on my face. Just hearing his name made my mood a little better.
She grew silent for a few seconds. “Sure, that’s no problem. Just give me a brief description of his style.”
“He’s fashionable yet simple. He’ll wear a plain t-shirt, jean jacket, snapback, and jordans. He likes simple things but he wants to be fashionable at the same time.” I said.
“I know exactly what you’re talking about. Just write down your contact information and I’ll contact you when I’m available.” she said while reaching me a sheet of paper to write down my number.
“If you don’t mind me asking, are you single?” Seiko asked.
I shot her a look and kicked her under the table. Seiko is very much in to women and I understand Malaya is gorgeous with a banging ass body, but this wasn’t the time nor the place to try and get the pums.
She laughed. “Yes I’m single. Is there a reason why you’re asking?” she asked.
“Nah, I’m just wondering.” she said while winking at Malaya.
This bitch here.
“I don’t mean to cut this short ladies, but I’m going on a lunch break in two minutes.” she said.
“Okay.” I said getting up. “I’ll call you later and we can set a date.” I said.
“That’s fine.” She said while reaching to shake our hands once again.
Before she could finish walking us to the door, there was a knock on the door.
“Excuse me.” she said. “It’s probably my lunch I ordered.” she said while walking to the door.
“Hey bitch, I bought us some chinese food!” a deep voiced female screamed.
I knew that voice. I just couldn’t put my finger on the face.
“Karrueche and Seiko, this is my best friend Teyana. Teyanna these are my clients Karrueche and Seiko.” she said introducing us. And there she was, Teyanna, that bitch I couldn’t stand. Her smile dropped and turned into a cold expression. But trust, the feeling was very much mutual. Just the sight of her made my skin crawl and ruined my entire mood. I felt my blood boil and I knew for a fact that one way or another, we were about to throw down in this office.
